CRA experts advised the Peruvian multinational corporation, the Oben Group – a global flexible packaging solutions company – on the successful acquisition of Terphane, a BOPET film manufacturer and Brazilian subsidiary of Tredegar, an American company.
This transaction was cleared by Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) upon remedies.
The CRA Competition Practice also advised the Oben Group on the acquisition of Vitopel, a domestic producer of BOPP films used in packaging and other applications, which was cleared with no restrictions. These engagements reflect CRA’s expertise and expanding capabilities in South America.
These acquisitions mark a strategic milestone to enhance the Oben Group’s manufacturing capabilities and expand its presence in relevant global markets.
