Due diligence analysis supports $1.9 billion utility acquisition

CRAs Energy experts provided buy-side due diligence analysis for Manulife Investment Management (“Manulife IM”) on its investment in Portland General Electric’s $1.9 billion acquisition of PacifiCorp’s Washington utility operations. 

The announced transaction would create a new Washington utility subsidiary of Portland General Electric serving approximately 140,000 customers, with Manulife IM affiliates owning 49% of the new subsidiary. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
