Michal Malkiewicz is moderating a panel session on Representation & Dissemination in the Probability and Nonprobability Samples, Frames, and Coverage Errors track at the American Association of Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) 81st Annual Conference in Los Angeles, CA.

The panel will cover cutting-edge topics ranging from sample size considerations learned from recent household surveys of vaccination coverage; a demonstration of how census-based microdata, when integrated with ethically governed synthetic data methods, can expand representation while preserving statistical rigor, privacy, and public trust; observations of response change behaviors for the Hispanic origin questions using process data generated as respondents complete online surveys (e.g., clicks, keystrokes, and navigation patterns); recruitment design strategies for deliberative mini-publics (DMPs) polls, where a representative sample of a population receives balanced information and deliberates in moderated small groups; and human–AI collaboration in building and maintaining multilingual survey translation databases.

The other panelists include Kim Backstrom (Abo Akademi University), Betsari Otero Class (U.S. Census Bureau), Arundati Dandapani (Generation1.ca), Dale A. Rhoda (Biostat Global Consulting), and Ana I. Sánchez-Rivera (U.S. Census Bureau).
