As regulators in various countries consider when and how much spectrum to allocate for 5G services, valuable lessons can be learned from the experiences of 5G early-adopter countries, such as South Korea and the US.

In this Insights we look at the progress in 5G deployment and adoption across several countries, with a more detailed case study comparing the US and South Korea. We also look at the relationship between that progress and the quantity of mid-band spectrum available to major carriers in these countries.
