NorthShore University HealthSystem retained CRA to evaluate issues of commonality and typicality among members of a proposed class alleging anticompetitive exercise of market power in the markets for inpatient and hospital-based outpatient services. Based on the extensive and detailed analysis of hospital/insurer contracts and claims data presented by CRA’s expert, the District Court denied class certification.
