A CRA Competition team acted as independent economic experts in litigation concerning a Premier League football club’s exclusive supply arrangement for its replica kit with a third‑party retailer.

Last year, UK courts considered the competitive implications of such exclusive supply agreements, which have become increasingly common across the football industry.
The CRA team was led by economic experts Simon Chisholm and Uğur Akgün, with support from Dominik Fischer, Charlie Whitehead, Wasim Islam, and Tom Spencer.
In a recent CRA Insights, Ugur Akgun and Simon Chisholm examine key aspects of the economics of the case. Learn more about their analysis here: Premier League replica kit: Relevant product markets to assess exclusivity and football club market power.
