CRA was retained on behalf of a multi-national firm providing technology, consulting, and business process services facing several hiring, promotion, and termination discrimination suits. We aided in data collection and provided analyses of employment practices across the US, both overall and broken down across various lines of business, job functions, geographies, and job grades. Because the suits involved a sub-group of a racial/ethnic category required for EEOC reporting, we assisted the client in further identifying the ethnicity of job applicants and employees missing nationality information via name-coding based on methodologies derived in US and Canadian demographic, health, and government research. CRA’s analysis aided the client in defeating class certification in the matters.
