CRA was retained to value optical network and wireless caching patent portfolios of a public optical telecom network provider to assist selling the portfolios as part of the company’s voluntary dissolution. CRA facilitated a technical review of the portfolio to identify potentially infringed patents. Valuations were performed and target buyers for the two portfolios were identified and used to structure private auctions for both portfolios using CRA’s secure auctions platform. The portfolios were sold to an IP investor and an operating company.
