Alec Manning

Alec Manning is an associate principal in the Intellectual Property Practice at CRA. In his consulting work, he applies his financial and economic expertise to intellectual property related litigation, valuation, and transactional matters.
Alec’s IP litigation experience includes a broad range of disputes, including patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, false advertising, and breach of contract matters. His experience includes the development of complex financial models to determine economic damages, including lost profits, reasonable royalties, and unjust enrichment. Alec has supported expert witnesses and clients in all stages of the investigation and litigation process, including through trial and jury verdicts in multiple high-profile IP disputes. Outside of litigation, Alec has experience performing intangible asset valuations for licensing transactions and strategic decision-making purposes.
Alec’s consulting work has covered a wide range of industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, software, petrochemicals, renewable energy, semiconductors, and defense technology.
Alec graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Minor in Corporate Strategy.
