Dr. Alison Hole is a vice president in the Antitrust & Competition Practice with over 20 years of experience at the highest levels in both government and private practice in Washington DC, London, and Brussels.

Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Hole was the Deputy Director for Antitrust in the Bureau of Economics at the Federal Trade Commission for over 10 years and has overseen the economic analysis across hundreds of investigations, including both merger and conduct investigations, in industries spanning retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, industrial chemicals, tech, and software. In addition, Dr. Hole was a key member of the drafting team for the 2023 US Merger Guidelines and the 2010 US Vertical Merger Guidelines.

Dr. Hole has also been the Chief Economist at the UK’s Competition Commission, was a director at a professional services firm in Brussels and London, and an executive vice president at a global economic consulting firm in Washington, DC.  She holds a doctorate in Economics from the London School of Economics.
