James Russell is an associate principal in CRA’s Energy Practice.

Mr. Russell advises a broad variety of clients in the energy industry including Utilities, IPPs, Owner/Operators, Investors, and Developers. His recent projects cover topics such as transactions, valuation, resource planning, energy transition, advanced nuclear, and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining CRA, Mr. Russell served in the US Navy as the International Programs and Engagement Officer for US Naval Forces Europe and as a Nuclear Submarine Officer onboard USS Missouri (SSN-780).

Mr. Russell holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
