CRA team members served as the independent monitor for a large online gaming company that was the subject of an investigation by federal prosecutors for allowing real money betting in the US in violation of federal law. The company entered into an agreement with the government whereby the company would be allowed to re-open around the world in exchange for the imposition of a monitor to ensure that no real money betting was conducted in the US. The team tested the company’s screening methods to prevent betting in the US and made numerous recommendations to upgrade the company’s systems; the company adopted all the recommendations.
