CRA helped a UK public/private partnership design a pioneering cost and performance model of the UK energy system to 2050 for the purpose of screening emerging technologies to invest behind that will help the UK achieve its decarbonisation targets at least overall cost and inform choices around UK climate policy. CRA supported them in developing energy service demand scenarios and to specify cost trajectories for different emerging energy technologies.
